Dentures

High Quality Dentures Made By Specialists

Dentures can restore a full arch of teeth or fill significant gaps in your smile, resulting from the loss of several teeth. You can select from full or partial dentures, based on your individual needs and dental health. Our doctors will evaluate your smile to determine the best denture option for you.

As prosthodontists, we are specially trained in making dentures, treating the process as both an art and a science. Our dentures are custom-made using durable, lifelike materials that closely resemble natural teeth. We have worked with the same lab technician for the past 30 years, and he has consistently maintained a high level of quality control throughout all our work.

We carefully customize each denture we provide to help you experience the best possible functionality, comfort, and aesthetics. We never finalize a denture until you are 100% satisfied with it. When we finish, 95% of our patients find that they never need an adjustment to their dentures.

Types of Dentures Explained

Full Dentures

Traditional full dentures can be a good option if you are missing all or most of your teeth. These removable dentures feature a plastic base that fits over your gums. They can replace your upper arch, lower arch or both.

Partial Dentures

Like traditional full dentures, partial dentures are also removable. These restorations will replace several consecutive missing teeth. They also consist of a plastic base. Small metal clasps connect the partial denture to nearby teeth.

Implant-Supported Dentures

Implant-supported dentures attach to small metal implant posts that are surgically placed in the jaw to replace lost tooth roots. Implant-supported dentures are available as both full and partial restorations.

The Denture Process at Winterset Dental Care

The process of getting dentures at Winterset Dental Care typically involves several steps:

  • Consultation and Evaluation: We will conduct a thorough examination of your oral health, discuss your needs and goals, and determine if dentures are the right option for you.
  • Impressions: Accurate impressions of your jaws will be taken to create custom dentures that fit comfortably and function properly.
  • Try-in: You will have the opportunity to try on a wax model of your dentures. This allows you to preview the appearance and make any necessary adjustments before the final dentures are fabricated.
  • Final Denture Placement: Once you are satisfied with the fit and appearance, your final dentures will be fabricated and placed.
  • Follow-up Appointments: We will schedule follow-up appointments to ensure your dentures fit comfortably and function correctly. We can also address any questions or concerns you may have.

Implant-Supported Dentures

Implant-supported dentures are an excellent option for people seeking to maintain their oral health and potentially enhance their youthful appearance.

When teeth are missing and not replaced, the bone that supported the roots gradually reabsorbs. Without the stimulation of full-force chewing, bone loss continues, resulting in the collapse of the facial structure.

Implant-supported teeth stop this cycle of bone loss. We use the All-on-X procedure, which gives you a new set of permanently fixed-in teeth. The doctors place up to six implants per row of teeth for maximum stability and strength. New teeth are then attached directly to the implants.

Because the teeth are securely anchored to dental implants, there is no slippage, stronger chewing power is restored and further bone loss is prevented. The lower denture won’t slip or fall out when eating or speaking, and with no false upper palate, you can taste food again and talk like normal.
