Sedation Dentistry & Patient Comfort

Say Goodbye to Dentist Appointment Nerves

Dr. Agarwal and our team are committed to ensuring that our patients are comfortable and relaxed throughout their visits. We provide a peaceful and stress-free environment, explain procedures in detail, and answer any questions. Our patients feel comfortable the moment they walk through our doors.

Because our doctors want everyone to receive the dental care they need, they go to great lengths to ease the anxiety and fear that often cause people to avoid visiting the dentist. For this reason, we offer dental sedation and general anesthesia. Patients can be relaxed throughout the procedure.

We also provide various comfort amenities, including pillows, blankets and music and TV in every room.

Sedation Options for a Stress-Free Appointment

For patients who are anxious or need further help relaxing during dental procedures, qualified members of Dr. Agarwal's team are trained to administer sedation options:

  • Conscious Sedation: helps patients feel relaxed while staying awake and responsive during a dental treatment. It wears off within a few minutes, allowing most patients to drive home or resume other normal activities following their appointment.
  • IV Sedation: With IV sedation, the sedative induces a deeply relaxed, sleeplike state from which you can be easily awakened. You may have little to no memory of the treatment. This allows for greater comfort during longer or more complex visits, but you will need to arrange a ride home.
  • General Anesthesia: General anesthesia allows patients to be completely asleep and unaware during complex or lengthy dental procedures, ensuring they feel no pain or anxiety. You will need a responsible adult to take you home following general anesthesia. A qualified medical doctor adminsters the sedation and monitors the patient throughout the procedure.

Is Sedation Dentistry Safe?

Sedation dentistry is safe when administered by our qualified dental professionals who are trained and certified in sedation. We will carefully assess your medical history and discuss if sedation is right for you, and which kind.
